Are you a leader at your school, youth group or in the community? Do you wish you could develop your leadership skills while working with peers outside of your own organization? If so, we’ve got a new opportunity for teens who love leadership.

The jHub Leadership Fellows Program will select ten teen fellows to participate in a 1-year Leadership Program. Fellows will have an opportunity to interact, learn from and work with adult leaders who are experts in specific fields of study – public relations/marketing, social media, fundraising/budgeting, event planning, public speaking and other relevant leadership business skills. jHub Fellows deepen their understanding of Jewish leadership and apply their learning by working together as a team to design, plan and execute two capstone events: jHub Teen Opportunity Fair (teen jobs/internships/gap year programs, etc.) in January 2017 and a teen youth leadership experience in September 2017.

What are we looking for in a jHub Fellow?

We are seeking sophomores, juniors or seniors that are active in Jewish or secular leadership activities and want to improve their leadership skills.  Our Teen Fellows should represent the diversity of our unique Jewish teen community and share a common interest in building their own personal and professional networks, enhancing their leadership skills and creating more opportunities for Jewish teens to connect in meaningful, youth-driven ways to our Jewish community.

PresenTense Accepting Applications for Social Entreprenuership Fellowship

At PresenTense Colorado, we firmly believe that teens are leaders of the present. Why else would we help Jewish high school students get their social innovation ideas off the ground? In the inaugural year of our six-month social entrepreneurship Fellowship, Fellows created programs ranging from a website hosting eating disorder resources specifically for teens to an after school group for middle school students to discuss and act on current events.

And now we want to help you create a project of your own! Over our six-month Fellowship, PresenTense Colorado will help you develop an idea and give you the entrepreneurial skills you need to launch. You’ll be paired with a Coach and have the opportunity to apply for up to $1,000 in funding. These skills, resources, and networks will enable you to create a project, big or small, that makes a difference in your community and engages your peers in what you’re passionate about. Applications are due September 30, 2016.

Want to learn more? PresenTense Colorado is hosting an IdeaSlam on September 15, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Thrive Cherry Creek. The event offers prospective applicants a fun and engaging opportunity to get a taste for our Fellowship and have their questions answered. Please register by September 12, 2016. The IdeaSlam is generously funded by a jHub Innovation Award.
